Owned and run by husband and wife team Chris & Agi Stanley Fotos we offer lunches and a 4 course fine dining dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Award winning Chef, Chris has decades of experience in fine dining, learning from some of the biggest names in the industry, using that experience and inspiration from the local larder to create his modern fine dining dishes.
We are big advocates of local produce and a circular economy without compromising on flavour or innovation, using the availability of seasonal produce as inspiration for weekly changing menus. By using vegetables from the Lochaline allotments, meat from Ardtornish Estate or foraging ourselves we can design a menu full of fresh and tasty dishes with low food miles. We are aiming to be a zero waste restaurant by working closely with our suppliers to reduce waste from single use packaging and we closely manage our (minimal) food waste by composting or turning it into animal feed.
If you come for a meal at The Whitehouse you can expect a warm welcome and informal atmosphere. You can start the evening by trying local beers or one of our cocktails using garnish from our small herb garden before enjoying a meal using the best ingredients the West Highlands larder has to offer. We are recommended in the Good Food Guide 2022 and are supporters of Slow Food in Scotland. The restaurant is open from late March till October and our Meal Kits to enjoy at home are available all year round.
