Welcome to Glenmore Holidays, home of luxury self-catering on the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
If you are looking for a family holiday in comfort and style or a relaxing romantic break, please take a moment to explore our houses. All are graded 4 and 5 stars by VisitScotland and all offer world class wildlife, hill walking and bird watching amidst this Special Area for Conservation. We graze our Highland Cattle and sheep to enhance the species richness of Glenmore and to create a visually stunning and welcoming landscape for wildlife, livestock and visitors to enjoy.
Glenmore is situated on the south facing shore of Loch Sunart, half-way between the villages of Kilchoan to the west and Acharacle to the east. It is 30 minutes by car from the ferry to Tobermory on Mull and is an ideal base for exploring the peninsula and beyond.
We have 3 strikingly different properties all offering privacy and an opportunity to relax in quality accommodation with stunning sea views. Each is unique in character and style with private gardens, under-floor heating, log fires, spa baths and internet access. Otter Lodge is a Norwegian log house which sleeps 6. It has an extensive garden with wildlife ponds, fruit trees and a garden leading directly on to the shores of Loch Sunart with stunning views of Glenmore Bay. Glenmore Cottage, formerly the deer stalker’s cottage, sleeps 4 and has an elevated position overlooking Glenmore Bay and the Morvern hills. Glenmore House was originally a Victorian farmhouse and has a large secluded garden and orchard with lovely views over Glenmore Bay. The largest of our houses, it is ideal for family gatherings and get-togethers.
We are committed to providing an excellent quality service while also minimising our environmental impact. Our houses are heated by solar panels and air source heat pumps. We have planted 300 acres of Broadleaved woodland on our family farm to offset carbon dioxide emissions and to increase the biodiversity of Glenmore. We breed pedigree Highland Cattle and cheviot sheep and graze them in a low density to enhance plant-life and butterflies. By working with the natural environment we aim to ensure the continued enjoyment of Glenmore for future generations.
Glenmore is the perfect location for wildlife watching and photography with guests frequently enjoying sightings of pine martens, badgers, otters and eagles from our houses. Further afield you can explore shell sand beaches and ancient oak woodlands. On Loch Sunart and beyond, discover seals, dolphins and possibly even a basking shark or whale.
Come and discover Glenmore Holidays - full of character, comfort and quality with some of the finest views and wildlife in Scotland.
