We are back and bigger than ever! Come join us after the Glenfinnan Gathering for a night of dancing and laughter. No dance in the Glen would be right without our own Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band. Following on we have the fantastic talent of Valtos.
West Lochaber has always been fertile ground for attracting and nurturing traditional talent and this grouping of musical giants is testament to that. All based in or near Glenfinnan village, the Ceilidh Band members include stalwarts from the traditional music world who are as at home playing large concert venues as intimate bothy cèilidhs. On fiddle is Iain MacFarlane(Blazin’ Fiddles), Colm O’Rua (Daimh) on banjo, Iain MacMaster on accordion and Ingrid Henderson (Cliar) on piano. Formed for the sheer fun of playing good music together their unique blend of West Coast dance music will get your toes tapping.
Valtos are an ‘Electronic-Traditional’ duo comprised of Isle of Skye based Martyn MacDonald and Daniel Docherty. With their early remixes of the Peatbog Faeries, Niteworks, Lapywng, and Project Smok showcasing both the adaptability and variety in their sound, Valtos are seeking to create something both new and vibrant
