Coming to Glenuig Hall on Saturday 22nd June, the amazing Valtos!
Comprising Skye natives Daniel Docherty and Martyn MacDonald, they've taken the Trad and Electronic music worlds by storm. Their music has been described by Folk Radio UK as "like nothing you've heard before," blending influences from electronic and folk music. Inspired by artists like Martyn Bennet, Peatbog Faeries, Odesza, Madeon, and Bicep, Valtos creates a unique and genre-defying sound.
Due to their appeal across age-groups and genres, our event is intended to be family-friendly and this is reflected in the show's timing and ticket-types. Valtos will be fresh from the Eden Festival before heading over to the HebCelt Festival, so we'll have something slightly different just to mix it up a little. Two sets of about an hour each and an interval, with the event over by 11pm. We're expecting a great turn-out for what should be a fun, amazing gig in our special Hall!
We're able to put this gig on with reduced prices due to generous funding from the Awards For All grant, so a big thank you to them.
NOTE: some non-reservable seats to be available around the sides, but the main space will be for people dancing/standing. Family tickets available, but all under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Age-ID maybe requested on the door. Thanks.
