Loch Shiel Spring Festival 2023 - The Ceilidh of Calm at Salen Hall
Challenging the traditional formality of concerts, the newly-formed còmhradh collective (meaning “dialogue” or “conversation” in Gaelic) breaks down the performer-audience barrier and brings everyone together in a night that’s sure to be great craic – and at the same time a beautiful, soul-enriching experience.
The còmhradh collective is formed of Maxwell Quartet members George Smith and Duncan Strachan, composer and harpist Ailie Robertson, and singer and yoga coach from the Isle of Skye, Rhona Coogan. Featuring classical & traditional music, yoga and breathing practice, food and drink, poetry, song, stories, and plenty of cups of tea and chat.
This event is in association with Chamber Music Scotland’s “Embedded Musicians” programme, focusing on mental health and accessibility. All ages are welcome. Come and play a part in our ceilidh of calm!
PLEASE NOTE, THE CORRAN FERRY SERVICE IS CURRENTLY DISRUPTED. PLEASE PLAN YOUR JOURNEY ACCORDINGLY. PARKING IS LIMITED AT THE SALEN HALL - THERE IS ADDITIONAL PARKING AT SALEN JETTY, A SHORT WALK AWAY.
