For the first time, Otter Adventures has a limited number of spaces on a guided walk around the ancient caldera on Ardnamurchan which once was one of three significant volcanoes on the West Coast of Scotland.
Join Mark*, one of our local guides, on a circuit around the volcanic ring looking at wildlife, landscapes and geology as you traverse the landscape. At around 14km with a lot of up and down and rough ground, it is a challenging and humbling walk full of interest and discoveries at every turn.
You'll meet Mark in Kilchoan at 10:00 and start the walk on the ring itself. Full details will be sent after you have booked onto the adventure.
Experience of walking over rough ground is essential as are walking boots with ankle support. With typical Scottish weather you should expect sun, wind, rain, blue skies, and everything in between - so come prepared with waterproofs warm (and cool) clothes as well as lunch and hot plus cold drinks.
* Mark is a qualified and very experienced Winter Mountain Leader with significant experience on the water as well. He has a passion for interpreting landscapes and bringing them to life and for helping you understand what is around you: wildlife, culture, stories, geology, etc.
