Trail running with Women Run Strong. We love running because we can explore places that are inaccessible by road. Our trails take you places that you might never discover. Especially in Ardnamurchan, where the wildness can feel overwhelming, we will take care of you so all you have to think about is packing your rucksack and showing up.
We also love running for the sense of freedom it gives us. Running in Ardnamurchan, soaking in dramatic views, changing skies and seas, we are transported further than we thought possible. Everyday life fades away and we are at one with our surroundings. It is a unique and unforgettable experience.
Our experienced guides love to share their favourite trails, at a sociable running pace, no-one is ever left behind. There’s no need to worry about route finding, timing, getting lost alone, we take care of that.
We offer tours throughout the summer, or you can embark on a bespoke adventure tailored to you. Just contact us to chat about your running dreams! If you just want a guide for a short run we’d be happy to run with you and create your bespoke adventures at a reasonable rate (for example up to 10k £50).
Some of our favourite tours are:
Wild West Coast tour from Sanna Bay to the Lighthouse, we run across varied terrain taking in fantastic views to Rum, Eigg and Muck and even Skye on a clear day. After a coffee stop at the Lighthouse we return enjoying Bay MacNeill and the view from the hill of the white sands and turquoise waters at Sanna.
The Vikings and Volcanoes tour brings us through dramatic landscape into the famous Ardnamurchan volcanic ring dyke and the deserted village of Glendrian. From there we head towards the coast to Port Eigin-Aig, a natural rocky harbour. The beautiful shingle beach fills the mind and the imagination and feels far from today's hectic world. It's said that the Vikings landed here, as it's not far from a viking tomb along the coast in Swordle. It’s a lovely place for a swim!
