Adventure ’means something different to everyone, but Otter Adventures caters for all but the most extreme ‘adventurers ’visiting the area.
Our adventures start with half-day ‘tasters’ through to one-night family wild camping experiences up to challenging five-day expeditions - all led by local guides.
- If you’ve never been in a canoe before, we can get you on the water safely and soon enjoying yourself on a half-day taster.
- Experienced sea kayakers will find a challenge in our five-day Morvern circumnavigation wild camping along the way.
- If walking in the mountains is your ‘adventure’, we’ll take you to some of the more remote or more challenging areas, or explore the glens in new ways.
- Should you prefer two wheels, we offer mountain bike guiding that is more than just a bike ride, and a unique on-road cycling ’slow adventure ’in a day.
- Hire/rental of canoes, kayaks and Stand Up Paddle boards is now possible and we may be able to offer delivery/collection as well as shuttle services (not the Great Glen Canoe Trail though).
- We even sell a wide range of inner tubes, puncture repair kits and Peaty's tubeless sealants, chain lubes, bike cleaners, etc. to keep you and your bike running smoothly.
- If you desire 1:1 or small group coaching in any discipline we offer, then we’ll match you with our best local coaches so you rapidly develop your skills.

Our adventures are about the environment, local history and the culture of the West Highland Peninsulas, often involving local communities, local crofts and other tourism businesses so that our adventures are unique and more than just an activity.
With over thirty-five years experience working in the outdoor industry, Karl, the owner of Otter Adventures and head guide, has ample experience of creating and delivering programmes of adventurous activities and tailoring them to individuals and groups. He has a real passion for introducing people to a wide range of outdoor activities, and in developing their skills and enthusiasm for the sport and location.
