Resipole Studios is a fine art gallery with a bespoke framing service located on the shores of Loch Sunart. Specialising in contemporary Scottish art, the gallery has four unique exhibition spaces, each hosting a regularly changing program of exhibitions, workshops and events.
This award-winning gallery showcases an impressive roster of contemporary Scottish painters and international artists, and displays other high-calibre artwork including sculpture, photography, jewellery, ceramics and woodturning. Its peaceful atmosphere mirrors the remote Highland location, further distinguishing it as one of Scotland’s leading contemporary art galleries.
The gallery was established in 2004 by Andrew Sinclair after the two-year renovation of an agricultural byre. An arts graduate himself, Andrew recognised not only the need for a professional gallery space in his home area, but also for professional studio facilities, to enable resident and visiting artists to access high quality resources in a truly inspirational Highland setting.
Since its launch, Resipole Studios has continued to present work by artists of many disciplines, with Scotland as their key focus. Now much established, and with many award-winning artists on its roster, the gallery is regarded as one of Scotland’s leading contemporary art spaces. Consequently, in 2016 the gallery was selected to show work by the late, American abstract-expressionist, Jon Schueler, to mark the centenary of his birth.
The gallery is open from 11-6pm from March to Mid-December, and by appointment from mid-December to the beginning of March. Please contact the gallery on 01967 431506 during the Winter months to arrange your visit.
